Lucky Woman Wins Her Second $50,000 Prize
The Maryland Lottery has been good to a Baltimore woman; she walked into Lottery Headquarters this afternoon to claim her second $50,000 prize in six years. Her first big win was on Bonus Match 5. In addition to these large wins, the committed Lottery player won another $15,000 scratch-off prize as well as many additional smaller prizes over the years.
“I play the Lottery every day” said the mother-of-four. “Scratch-offs and numbers games are my favorites.” The 60-year-old Baltimore City resident has been playing since the inception of the Lottery in 1973 and doesn’t plan on stopping soon.
The winner, who hid her excitement very well, said that she took the $5 Sizzlin’ Spot Crossword home to scratch at her leisure. When she saw that she had won the top prize, she said “hmmmm….I won again.” She nonchalantly said that she will give some of the money to her kids and put the rest away until she decides what to do with it.
The winning ticket was purchased at American News at 7839 Eastpoint Mall in Dundalk.
