California, Georgia Players to Split $648 Million Jackpot

Maryland did not sell the two winning Mega Millions jackpot tickets worth $648 million that were bought in California and Georgia. However, the state did have a $1 million winner in Tuesday night’s drawing and more than 685,000 winners ranging from $1 to $1 million.

Check your tickets! A lucky player bought the $1 million second-tier winning ticket at High’s at 158 Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis and matched all five white balls, missing only the Mega Ball. The winner has 182 days after the drawing to claim the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

Around the country, there were 20 $1 million winners in this drawing. The winning numbers from last night’s drawing were 8, 14, 17, 20, 39 and the Mega Ball was 7.

So far this year, Maryland has seen 17 second-tier winners, including two with Megaplier for $1 million. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

Watch Mega Millions drawings at 11:22 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays on WBAL-TV, Channel 11. The multistate game is sold in 45 states and jurisdictions.

These people are lucky but instead of being jealous and getting upset at the winners, they inspire me to keep playing. Anybody can win this thing at anytime!!

Congratulations to the winners! Has anyone else noticed that the big jackpot winners are always in the state of CA, NY, NJ, OH or FL? It’s time for other states to be the subject of discussion! Give us a chance too!
