Ticket bought in Carroll County convenience store

If you pass by a person with a huge smile on their face and a lively bounce in their step today, smile back – that happy-go-lucky person might be a new millionaire! A busy Westminster convenience store sold a winning second tier $1 million Powerball ticket to a shopper, who has yet to come forward to claim his or her prize.

Winning numbers for the Wednesday night Powerball drawing were 03-06-29-40-51 and Powerball 04. Although no one won the jackpot, one Maryland Lottery player matched the first five numbers to win the second-tier prize of $1 million. Good fortune smiled on a customer visiting the High’s store at 27 Railroad Avenue in Westminster.

Saturday’s drawing is now worth an estimated $70 million with a $41 million cash option.

The winner has 182 days to claim the prize and must come in person to the Maryland Lottery’s Claims Center at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
