Fantasy FortuneA Baltimore city man is living out his fantasy. “I love scratch-offs and I’ve always wanted to hit big,” said the 70-year-old. His fantasy became a reality when he scratched off a $100,000 top-prize winning Fantasy Fortune scratch-off ticket on a work break.

The lucky man, who works as a full-time security officer, was on a break from his security patrol when he scratched the winning ticket. He scratched the “Fantasy Numbers” first and then scratched off the rest of the ticket to see if any numbers matched. When he revealed a second 49, he checked the prize and discovered that he had just won the top prize. “That evening, I couldn’t go back to work – I was in shock,” said the man.

The winner’s wife joined him at Lottery headquarters for the prize presentation and recalled the moment she received her husband’s happy news. “When he called me, he said ‘You’re not going to believe this, but I won $100,000.’ I didn’t believe him, but I could tell by his voice that he was serious,” said his wife.

The lucky man plans to use his prize winnings to pay a few bills, but has no other immediate plans.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-11 on West 28th Street in Baltimore City.
