Wins Logo Hunt Promotion Grand Prize

Monica Watts - Logo HuntMonica Watts from Baltimore wasn’t sure what to expect when she saw “Maryland Lottery” on her caller ID a couple of days ago.  Even after the Lottery official told her that she was selected as the $250,000 grand-prize winner of the Logo Hunt Promotion, Monica was still in shock.  In fact, she called back to Lottery headquarters to make sure it wasn’t a joke.

“I really didn’t believe it until I came to the Lottery today,” said the 52-year-old.  Her best friend and her sister had no trouble believing the news.  “She is always lucky,” said her friend.  In fact, Monica has won other Lottery prizes throughout the years, but never a prize as large as this.  With her winnings, the Howard County Community College cashier is looking forward to buying a house.  Monica’s ticket was randomly selected from more than 45,000 entries.

The $2 Million Logo Hunt Promotion ran from February 7th through March 13th, with the drawing taking place on March 22nd.  Throughout the promotion, Lottery players randomly received one of three Lottery logo’s on their ticket.  After collecting all three logo’s on non-winning tickets, players mailed them in for the chance to win cash prizes.  In addition to Monica’s $250,000 prize, other big winners include Shirley Pittman from Silver Spring who won $100,000, Mike Higgins from Myersville who won $50,000 and 50 other Maryland Lottery players who won $1,000 each.

  • A waste of stamps!!!

Cut the crap! About about Baltimore winners. Its all luck! Maybe if you had more faith. You would win. Congratulations Monica.

  • Gene

Another Baltimore winner, players are tired of this crap.

Gene: The geographic locations of our winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.

congrats Monica!!! Are we related??? ha ha just kidding!!! I am so happy for you!!enjoy!!!

This is to the MD Lottery Headquarters. If you want to make the people who lose, believe they can win lottery prizes…then stop allowing just the people in Baltimore to win and allow people in other parts of PG County, Charles County, Calvert county, St. Mary’s,Etc. You never hear anyone winning in any of these Counties but, yet you have all these people spending their hard earned money hoping to be a winner and no one wins. Maybe we all should play our lottery games in Baltimore and maybe then we will win.
Md Lottery Headquarters, It is not fair to the rest of us in other counties to not be able to experience the chance of winning big too.Changes need to be made for those loyal buying customers. You want to make us believers… then make our cities winners too.

You all shouldnt be concerned where ppl win if you play you support the education system thats how I look at although I do agree with most its about location location location for the winners, New York, California Baltimore

      • mdlottery

hondou: We can’t speak to winners in NY or CA. What we can stress is that the geographic locations of Maryland Lottery winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing, which is typically the case from a national perspective as well. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State of Maryland.

  • Yvette McCombs

I am happy for the people who won on the Logo Hunt promotion Iwish it was me but I notice that its always some body in Baltimore that wins and Isend out for ever thing that are going on and never wins so I quess I need to stop wasting my stamps.I send out for cruise for cash, Iwill not be wasting any more stamps sending any more out.

  • Carolyn Holmes

The MD lottery insists that the reason so many winners of promotional games come from Baltimore is that there are so many players in Baltimore. Well, there are lots of players in southern Prince Georges county but in the Logo Hunt game, the $250,000 winner and almost half of the 50 $1,000 winners came from Baltimore. This is consistent with the number of big scratch off winners from Baltimore. I give up. No more MD lottery purchases for me.
