Wins $50,000 Cash Spectacular Scratch-off Prize

After a brief doctor’s appointment, a 42-year-old Baltimore woman decided to pick up a few scratch-offs at the nearest gas station. She told Lottery officials that she won $25 on the first few tickets she purchased. With her winnings, she decided to buy one Cash Spectacular ticket, which made her $50,000 richer.

“This was my first-ever big win.  I just couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I literally had to look at the ticket about ten times and then I rushed right over here.” The lucky winner said she was so nervous about losing the ticket that she put it in her purse and headed straight to Lottery headquarters with her car doors locked and windows up.

She said she was inspired to buy a scratch-off after noticing on the Pick 3 drawing ticker that another Baltimore woman won a $50,000 scratch-off top prize. “I can remember thinking to myself that I wish it were me.”

The lucky lady, who has worked in accounting for over six years, said she would love to purchase a new car with her winnings and pay off a few bills. The winning ticket was purchased at the Harbor Shell on Russell Street in Baltimore. The Cash Spectacular game still has two $1 million top-prizes remaining.

Ginnyginnyl: Thanks for writing in. We get this comment a lot. People living in Baltimore believe all the winners are elsewhere and vice versa. Truth is the geographic locations of our winners are all random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.
