Q. What is the difference between an Official Drawing and a Simulated Drawing.

A. An Official Drawing is just that, an actual Keno Drawing that plays out on the screen to see if you are a winner and a Simulated Drawing uses randomly selected numbers and is just for fun.

Q. What are the system requirements for enjoying the game.

A. For the best performance we recommend :

  • 800 MHz processor.
  • 128 MB of RAM
  • Netscape 7.0 or better and IE 5 or better
  • DSL or Cable recommended
  • A monitor resolution of 1024 x 768

Slower computers will work, however you may have to adjust the quality of the video by clicking on the 'Quality' button on the Option bar. Dialup connections will initially take several minutes to download the animations.

Q. I started the game and it's not doing anything. What am I doing wrong?

A. Nothing. You probably just need to download and install the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player.

Q. What are themes? How many themes can I choose from?

A. Themes are the different scenes that the animation is based on. Right now the Lottery has 3 themes that you can choose from:

  • Keno Kannon -- Which is a cannonball related theme
  • Keno Kaddy -- Which is a golf related theme
  • Keno Slapshot -- Which is a Hockey related theme

Q. As much as I love the 'Boom' of the Keno Kannon' , how do I turn the sound off ?

A. You can turn off the sound by clicking the speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen.


Q. I bought a keno ticket for the next 10 draws. How can I check all of them at once?

A. You can click on the range button and enter the beginning and ending draw numbers of your tickets.

Q. I like the Keno Kaddy theme, but I want to check out the other themes. How do I switch themes?

A. You can click on the options menu then click on the "Theme" button.

Q. Okay, I've been checking my keno ticket for a while, how do I jump to the most current Drawing?

A. You can click on the options menu then click on the "Official Drawings" button.

Q. Can I switch from an Official Drawing to a Simulated Drawing?

A. Yes. You can click on the options menu then click on the "Simulated Drawings" button.

Q. What are Hot Numbers? What are Cold Numbers?

A. Hot Numbers are the ten most frequently drawn numbers and the Cold Numbers are the ten least frequently drawn numbers.

Q. Hooray! I won! How do I cash my ticket?

A. Take your winning ticket to a Maryland Lottery retailer or to one of the
Lottery Claim Centers.

Q. Wow, this was fun. Can I buy additional Keno tickets online?

A. No, due to legal restrictions, you can only buy Keno tickets from a Lottery retailer.
