Wins $30,000 Top Prize on Crack the Code Scratch-off

Crack the CodeTwo lucky traditions played a role in a $30,000 scratch-off win last week in Rising Sun.  The Lottery’s latest instant winner credits the calendar and a “lucky” dime for her big score.

Fortune has smiled upon her on several occasions over the years, including a $7,000 Lottery win in July of last year.  The 2012 addition to her July good fortune is a $30,000 win courtesy of the Lottery’s Crack the Code scratch-off game.  “I just love this game,” she told Lottery officials.  “It’s a lot of fun.”

Scratching away with her lucky dime while on a break between shifts – she works with adults with special needs – she couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the dollar amount on her ticket.  “I started jumping up and down, but kept my yelling low – our patients were sleeping.”

Our winner’s July lottery luck found her at the Sunoco station at 2391 Pulaski Highway in North East.  She’s thinking about a cruise to celebrate her win.
