Mikey: Yes, the 2nd Chance drawing occured on Monday, May 18. You can view the winners here.

Your answer stinks. It’s NOT TOO EXPENSIVE…Maryland Lottery just chooses NOT TO TELEVISE 2nd Chance drawings. It could be AFFORDABLE. I’m not one of them; but it is apparent that some of your players are suspicious.

It sure do seems like to me that every winner is in Balitmore co. I have but in for every contest and everything. And I can’t win a thing. It’s a shame

bernadette: Thanks for writing in. We get this comment a lot. People living in Baltimore believe all the winners are elsewhere and vice versa. Truth is the geographic locations of our winners are all random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.

  • TAmmy

I mailed in 352 non winning Cinema Cash (u kno how much postage was that?!) cards I’m shocked I did not win anything??? UGH- MD lottery should draw cards live on television when announcing a contest! You never know who knows who??? or who’s helping friends behind

Tammy: We had a lot of interest into this contest with over 40,000 entries. As with all of our drawings it is purely luck of the draw.

Unfortunately, we cannot televise second chance drawings. We simply cannot afford to purchase the airtime it would require to show them. Please know that all drawings adhere to strict procedures and guidelines. They are videotaped and witnessed by numerous representatives, including an independent Auditor and Security Official to keep the integrity of the game in tact.

      Good luck in the future!

i agree with tammy you should draw winners so every body can see on the live drawings you say you cannot aford it but you guys can find wayws to bilk hundreds of thousands of dollars out of poor peoples pockets an they deserve to see the second chane drawings

        • mdlottery

unhappy scratch-off player:It addition to it being extremely expensive to purchase the time necessary for these drawings, ultimately the reasoning is because the process is not very glamorous, is very tedious and time consuming.

Please keep in mind that every Maryland Lottery drawing is conducted in strict adherence to detailed procedures in order to guarantee the integrity of the results. These procedures call for numerous security checks and much testing of equipment and Lottery balls both before and after every single drawing. Security cameras document all that happens in the studio – 24 hours a day. To further guarantee the integrity of our drawings independent auditing firms perform unannounced visits, as do officials from the Lottery’s Security Division.
