$10K 10x Cash Dundalk originalBob Nelson of Dundalk won $10,000 on a 10x Cash scratch-off

Wins Twice in One Day at Casino and with Maryland Lottery Scratch-off

Good fortune can strike twice in one day! Just ask Bob Nelson of Dundalk, who swept a doubleheader with Lady Luck by scoring a $1,500 win at Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover followed that day by a $10,000 Maryland Lottery scratch-off win.

The happy player was headed home after winning at the casino when Lady Luck smiled on him again. The Baltimore County resident stopped at George’s Liquors in Baltimore for a six-pack of beer and a couple of Maryland Lottery scratch-offs. He added two 10x Cash instant tickets to his purchase, scratched them off and showed the clerk they were non-winners. “He said, ‘I have one left,’ and I said, ‘You might as well give it to me.’ ”

Wouldn’t you know it, Bob hit it out of the park with that third scratch-off! He won the top prize of $10,000 on the ticket, which features more than 100,000 prizes between $50 and $500 and has another 31 $10,000 winners awaiting discovery at Lottery retailers.

The fine carpentry contractor stays busy year-round installing custom cabinetry and interior finishes in homes. Originally, he planned to pay bills with his winnings but his wife of 33 years and his relatives have other ideas, Bob said, laughing. Now there are plans for the high school sweethearts to head to an island in the Caribbean this winter for some fun in the sun. His relatives got in on the action, as well. “They already hit me up for crabs for the weekend,” Bob said.

The lucky player also shared news of his win with the Baltimore retailer that sold him the winning scratch-off: George’s Liquors at 2101 Merritt Avenue. They are hoping he stops by soon for photos!
