Jackpot Rolls to $216 million for Friday’s Drawing

Attention, Mega Millions players! If you bought a ticket at the 7-Eleven in Essex for the Tuesday, Feb. 25 drawing, you may be Maryland’s newest millionaire. One lucky Maryland player and one Arizona player matched five of the winning numbers in the drawing to capture the $1 million second-tier prize.

The winning ticket sold at the 7-Eleven at 25 Eastern Boulevard carries the numbers 12-18-25-35-66 with Mega ball number 15 and the optional Megaplier number of 5. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket. Our lucky winner has 182 days after the drawing to claim the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

Nationally, more than 2.2 million tickets were winners. Maryland saw more than 67,700 players win prizes ranging from the $1 million second-tier win down to $1. The 4,904 Marylanders who paid the extra $1 to add Megaplier to the ticket saw the prize increase by five.

No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, which rolled to $216 million for the Friday drawing with a cash option of $119.6 million. The jackpot has rolled 15 times since Jan. 7. Watch Mega Millions drawings at 11:22 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays on WBAL-TV, Channel 11.
