Glen Burnie Man Accurately Predicts His Cruise for Cash WinTuesday, June 21st, 2011
Early this afternoon, a Glen Burnie man came into Lottery Headquarters to claim his Cruise for Cash ticket win. The IT worker and his wife have been on a few cruises, sailing to places like the Caribbean and Bermuda. Although he was happy about his win, he couldn’t say he was too surprised, considering the fact that he predicted this would happen a few months ago. “A little while ago, he told me that he just knew that he would win a cruise,” said the man’s wife. The fortunate winner bought his ticket on the way home from work and was pleased to tell his wife the good news. To be sure he didn’t lose the ticket, he placed it in his safe until heading to the Lottery. The 64-year-old will be accompanied by his wife on the cruise.
The winning Cruise for Cash ticket was purchased at Northway Liquors, located at 8101 Veterans Hwy. in Millersville.
Partnering with Royal Caribbean International, the Lottery launched Cruise for Cash in January. The $5 scratch-off is the first of its kind for the Maryland Lottery and features seven $50,000 instant top prizes and 31 instant seven-night cruise vacations for two, departing from Florida with a premium ocean view balcony stateroom; deluxe premium hotel accommodations for two for the night prior to cruise departure, $1,000 onboard credit and $500 spending money.
