WHAT IS MARYLAND HOLD ‘EMTM ?
Maryland Hold ‘EmTM is an exciting virtual
card game with random deals.
Each deal is based on a single deck of 52
cards.
Each virtual player is dealt two cards (known
as “hole” cards) that belong only
to that virtual player.
Bets can be placed
on any or all of the eight opening hands shown. You will
have approximately
5 minutes to place a bet. After betting is closed, five community cards are
dealt. All the virtual players use these cards in conjunction with their own
two hole cards to make the best possible five-card poker hand. New deals
(drawings) occur approximately every 7 minutes.
The prizes and the winning percents (probabilities of
winning) are displayed next to each hand. Prize amounts are based on a $2
wager and will be rounded to the nearest 25 cents for prizes under $100.
Prize amounts over $100 will be rounded
to the nearest $1.
Although rare,
there could be an opening deal in which one or more of the hands cannot win,
and they will show a win percentage of 0%*. The hands will be slightly
grayed out and players will not be able to bet on these hands.
*If the winning percentage is less than 0.1%,, a "less
than" symbol will appear next
to that hand. (i.e., < 0.1%)

Feature
Table Wager + Side Pot Wager = Total Ticket Cost
- Each draw (deal) has a $1 million liability cap for
each bet type (Feature Table and Side Pot).
That means that if the total
payout for all prizes for any one draw (deal) would exceed $1 million for
the Feature Table or $1 million for the Side Pot, then all prize payments
for that bet type will be reduced so the total payout for all prizes for
that bet type will not exceed $1 million and will be split among those
winners in proportion to the wager, so that winners who would have won a
higher amount will receive a larger portion (i.e., a larger prize amount)
than winners who would have won a lower amount.
- Before you hand your playslip to a Maryland Lottery
retailer for processing, be sure to verify your selections. It is your
responsibility to make sure your playslip represents the numbers you wish to
play and the drawings you want to enter. Cancellations of Maryland Hold
'EmTM tickets are allowed; however, they must be cancelled prior
to the drawing indicated on the ticket and by the same terminal at which
they were purchased.
