Top-Prize Win Playing Ravens Cash Fantasy Game

By the time a Lottery scratch-off game is 99% sold, usually all of the top prizes have been claimed.  Not the case, though, with the Lottery’s Ravens Cash Fantasy game.  As of this morning, two $250,000 winners were still at large.  As of this afternoon only one remains unclaimed and a Jarrettsville couple is among the happiest in Maryland.

Today’s winner received his lucky ticket as part of an incentive program at work.  He and his co-workers scratched their tickets together and while announcements of $5 and $10 wins were met with applause, when he spoke up about the $250,000 the others scoffed.  “No one believed me, not even my family when I called to tell them.”

The 70-year-old husband, father of four and grandfather of 11 still can’t believe this has happened to him.  “We keep saying to each other ‘Can this be real, can we be this blessed?’”  Home repair, a cruise and helping family and friends are in the plans for the winnings.  The lucky ticket was purchased from the 7-11 store at 1752 Jarrettsville Pike in Jarrettsville.

ON Wednesday I found a Ravens scratch off under my stove—it was a $5 winner—is it too late to claim?

Sjaffa: You have until October 21, 2012 to claim the prize.

At 70 years old and bet he’s still a loyal employee, good for him to recieve the winning incentive.  Enjoy the bonus, it’s proof of the blessing you believe in that you deserve it.

congratulations to thenluky winners..but I feel the lottery is UNfair. Why??because if a person has 3 out of 5 numbers on bonus match 5 they should get $500.00..4 numbers should be $1,000.00..This also should be the case on the Power ball and mega..It is difficult enought to get 3 or 4..If this would be fair and less numbers to choose from on Mega and Power Ball MORE AND MORE money would be in the POT……..

Playitcity: Winning tickets are distributed randomly throughout an entire game. If the average chance of winning a prize is 1:5, this does not mean there is an automatic winner within every five consecutive tickets. There is no pattern as to where winning tickets will occur. Just as the possibility of purchasing a winning ticket exists, it is also possible to buy multiple tickets back-to-back without receiving a winner at all. Like all Lottery games, scratch-off results are purely the luck of the draw and are simply a matter of random chance. In addition, the odds on the back of the ticket are the ‘overall odds,’ which is best described as the ratio of winning tickets to non-winning tickets from all tickets printed for the game.
