Harford County Man Wins Ravens Season Tickets for 20 Years

Friday, February 21st, 2014

Winner selected from more than 207,000 entries

Earlier today, four lucky Maryland Lottery finalists arrived at M&T Bank Stadium eager to find out who would take home the prize of a lifetime. Vernon Miller, Jr. walked away with the coveted prize — Ravens “Seats for 20 Years.” The prize includes two club-level tickets to every pre-season and regular season game, along with parking.

Miller, a Bel Air resident, along with the three other finalists — Cheryl Rice, also from Bel Air; and Dorothy Nazarenus and Dan Natividad, both from Baltimore, were selected through the Lottery’s Ravens Mega Power promotion. All four finalists received $5,000 and, as an added bonus, a private tour of the stadium.

Following the tour, which included a visit to the press box and a walk on the field, the finalists and their guests were led to the club level. From those seats, they anxiously watched the Jumbotron, hoping to see their name flash across the giant on-field screen revealing the name of the winner. The lucky winner was breathless when he saw, “Congratulations Vernon Miller!” As the other finalists clapped and cheered, Miller threw his arms in the air and shouted, “Go Ravens!”

For the fifth year in a row, the Maryland Lottery partnered with the Baltimore Ravens for a second-chance contest. Players entered non-winning Mega Millions and Powerball tickets with Megaplier and Power Play into the Internet promotion to win a variety of Ravens-themed prizes, including the “Seats for 20 Years” prize, an away trip with the team and game-day packages.

Miller becomes the first man to win the prize in the past five years. Previous winners of the “Seats for 20 Years” prize include Kim Feather from Pasadena; Dawn Brink from Stevensville; Vanessa Williams from Rosedale and Beth Bunch from Baltimore.
