Wins Single Double Triple Play Bingo $50,000 Top Prize
The 47-year-old is not a regular scratch-off player, but the Single Double Triple Play Bingo ticket caught her fancy when returning from a family trip. When her brother purchased one of the scratch-offs at a pit stop, she decided to try the game too.
She scratched a series of tickets while she was cleaning her house. When she scratched the winning ticket, she thought she had only won $5, but after a second look, she was celebrating her top-prize win. She kept the news of the win secret for two days, checking the ticket daily, worrying the win had been a dream. Finally, to confirm her good fortune, she had the scratch-off ticket scanned at a local retailer. “I told the clerk how much I had won and then I ran out of the store,” said the winner. “I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.”
The woman says she will use the prize money for private school tuition and family medical expenses. The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-11 convenience store, located on Abingdon Rd. in Abingdon.
