I agree on the Keno, need more winners. There are never any big winners. There used to be a lot of big winners early first couple years. What do you pay out now, 10% of money taken per game or 5%?

  • thom

I see for the scratch offs you have listed the number of prizes to start and remaining, what about the total number of tickets starting and remaining… I’d love to know the odds a little better…

    • mdlottery

thom: Thanks for the input. We’ll add this to the list of potential improvements.

  • Winner

I just want those people who think that the lottery is fixed (scratch offs) that I do not agree with you. I am just an average person who works everyday, plays the lottery occasionally, and has won the top prize on a scratch off ($30,000)! It is the luck of the drawl people! Have fun with it! And dont spend it if you cant lose it!

  • Tee

I agree with the other posters. Too many losing scratch-offs and not enough winning tickets. There needs to be a larger quantity of prizez for the larger jackpots. It’s a waste of money to print a zillion $5 and $10 tickets just for a person to only win $5 from that ticket. And that’s if they’re lucky. Playing is fun, but there’s a lot of room for improvement, MD Lottery.

  • oliver givens

Keno has changed. Quick picks always give out numbers that are consecutive and you do not see numbers come out like that. We used to win once and a while, but we stopped playing keno because no one seems to win anymore. The race track gimmick is a joke.Make it a triple ticket and you may get some sales.

  • gene simmers

what % of the $20 Extreme tickts sold?

    • mdlottery

gene: Extreme Cash Blast is 88% sold.

  • P

There should be a better division of the prizes. In this economic climate, I think that ticket sales would soar if people had more chances to win a lesser than million dollar jackpot.

  • mary schweiger

I agree that there are to many losers in a row a smaller large prize is the way to go .

  • I beleive The Md Lottery Is Very UnFair To The PLAYERS FROM DISTRICT OF CLOUMBIA on the second chance winning promotions. All the winner are geared toward the md. residents. We very seldom win and when we do it is usually the smaller prize

DC residents have been playing md. lottery for a very long time. Md. lottery was in existence before DC lottery started.

    • chris

really! i love blue florida water but we dont have it in MD. if i want to see i go there. move to MD and you problems solved.

  • Chris

This is for the scratch off players.Gambling is a game of pure luck.We are all looking for a needle in huge hay stack.Just think about how big the state of MD is,and
how many retailers there must be.Please play for FUNN…and IF you get lucky “ENJOY”

  • Just Saying

Keno use to be fun we use to have table loads of people setting around chatting and people hitting 50 to 100 dollars. Now you are lucky if you hit 2 dollars.

  • Toni

I think what people might be saying is to spend $20 and win $10 isn’t that exciting when there is a grand prize ticket of $1,000,000. Maybe what people are looking for is a $10 ticket where there are 1000 $1000 winners instead of just a couple big winners. It would be something different.

    • mdlottery

Toni: We here this a lot. That is why we adjusted our promotion with the Orioles this year. Last year we winners the opportunity to win $1,000,000 in the Hit It Here contest. This year we adjusted and are giving winners the opportunity to win $1,000 with every Orioles double play. To do (5/10/11), we given away $30,000 in prizes and anticipate giving away between $125,000 and $150,000 throughout the course of the season. • J Robert

I would rather see a $20 ticket with 20 $250,000 winners than 5 $1,000,000 winners. I am not greedy and would rather see 20 people win $250,000 than 5 people winning $1,000,000!

    • chris

that would be great but then the state doesnt get as big of a share of your winnings. remember, house always wins.

  • Jim

you all have way to many small prizes, reason being you know people will just put it back in and get more tickets, Maryland Lottery just another rip off. Get 4 numbers out of 6 numbers on multi match and get $20, it should be at least $500.

  • maria

just curious…what is the percentage sold of Platinum Rewards?

    • mdlottery

maria: Platinum Rewards is 86% sold.

  • charles riley

You put to many losers in the scratch offs

    • Ms Annette

I agree with Charles and anyone else who have commented that there are TOO many losing tickets in the scratchoffs. I purchased 3 Black in a row for $20, and the 3rd I won $20. That is definitely, pitiful for spending 60 bucks. I know its a game of chance, but how many people play, just to get their money back. I can 1000% say that I play to WIN BIG!!! Do better MD Lottery and put out less low dollar amount tickets.
      I WANT TO WIN BIG!!!

  • arthur

i think the md lottery is fixed

    • mdlottery

arthur: Any reason why you think it is fixed?
