Wins Winner Weather Scratch-Off $100,000 Top Prize
The 29-year-old waitress bought the ticket at 7-11 on Saturday and scratched it right there in the store. Always afraid to miss a winner, she checked the ticket over and over. When she was sure that she was $100,000 richer, she ran home to show her mother, and the two “went crazy” together, jumping around the house.
The Hyattsville resident then called all her close family members, who were all stunned at the news. The winner was still in a self-described state of shock as she sat in the Winner’s Lounge at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. Besides finishing off her car payments, she doesn’t yet have any plans for her winnings. She says she will decide what to do when she receives the check which was being mailer to her, and it “seems more real.”
