Baltimore Woman Claims Lucky Times 20 Prize

Deanna Nuckles - Lucky Times 20Deanna Nuckles loves Maryland Lottery scratch-offs. The Baltimore City resident typically plays for a couple of weeks and will then stop for a period of time. Yesterday, she was itching to play and so she stopped at Bernie’s Liquors on her way home from work to purchase a few tickets.

The 41-year-old bought several and proceeded to scratch them in the store. She was nearly finished when she revealed her Lucky Times 20 win. “I thought I’d won $20,” said Deanna. “Then the store clerk scratched the amount.” Much to Deanna’s surprise and delight, she was told that she was actually $50,000 richer. “I was like, ‘Oh my God. I never thought I’d win that kind of money.’”

Deanna, who was accompanied to Lottery Headquarters by her husband Kenneth, described her emotions as “overwhelmed and excited.” The mother-of-one immediately called her spouse to share the good news, all the while remaining unconvinced of her win. “I just kept looking at the ticket over and over again. I didn’t think it was real.”

Now, with the win confirmed, Deanna intends to use the prize money to pay for her son’s college course and her and her sister’s credit card bills. She will invest the rest or perhaps use some of the money to update the house. Husband Kenneth is urging her to take a portion to take a vacation. Travel plans remain unconfirmed as Deanna said, “I want to be cautious. That money goes fast.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Bernie’s Liquors, located at 2509 Washington Blvd., in Baltimore.

congrats, and once again, it happened in baltimore, one of the same 5-6 places all of these winnings are found.

gooog: The geographic locations of our winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. However, research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State in which more people are playing. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.

i have looked at the locations of winners, and although you say research tells you that more winners come from areas of the state, the majority of winners are in baltimore.

I am wondering why most of the winners are not in Baltimore where in the state of Md. more people play in Baltimore

I call BS on their claims that they have no idea where the winning tickets go. EVERY single ticket has tracking numbers on them. What they don’t tell you is that they use those numbers to track EXACTLY where that book of tickets was sent, where and when it was activated and so on. I don’t know if they still use drivers to hand deliver said tickets but one driver admitted to me they keep track of EVERYTHING, thus they know EXACTLY where a large winner will be delivered. If YOU were dealing with millions and millions of dollars wouldn’t YOU know EXACTLY and AT ALL TIMES where your money was?!

And it does seem that 95% of the winners are in and close to Baltimore. VERY RARELY does someone win a “decent” prize outside that area; taking their advice go back and check their “winners” list and you’ll see.

Upset: Yes, that is correct. For inventory we do track where books of tickets are. This is entirely unrelated to what winners reside in which books. That part is in fact random.
