Winning ticket sold in Clinton

Check your tickets, Mega Millions players! You could hold the $1 million second-tier winner from Tuesday night’s drawing!

The 7-Eleven at 6570 Coventry Way in Clinton sold the ticket to a lucky player on Aug. 27. The player manually picked the numbers for 15 draws on the ticket, with Oct. 15 as the date of the last draw. The ticket matched five of the winning digits: 04-23-30-43-50 but missed the Mega ball. The player bought the Megaplier, which boosts the second-tier win from $250,000 to $1 million. This marks the 16th second-tier Mega Millions win in Maryland in 2013 and the second one for $1 million.

Only one ticket in Maryland and one ticket in Texas matched five numbers. The jackpot has rolled to $37 million for the Friday, Oct. 18 drawing with a cash option of $25.2 million.

The winner has 182 days to claim the prize and must come in person to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. Mega Millions is played in 45 states and jurisdictions – including Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Drawings are televised at 11:22 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays on WBAL-TV, Channel 11. Players can also view results online at
