Maryland Public Television to Join WBAL in Broadcasting Maryland Lottery Drawings

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Starting Monday, October 24, 2011, Maryland Public Television (MPT) will begin airing the Maryland Lottery drawings throughout the state.  The drawings, which will continue to be conducted at Lottery partner station WBAL-TV, will be rebroadcast on all of Maryland Public Television’s channels, including HD and V-me, its Spanish-language channel. “The additional broadcasts will provide statewide coverage of the drawings,” said Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino. “Expanding our broadcast reach is good for our players, as well as for the agency’s commitment to providing transparency in the drawings process.”

Larry D. Unger, President & CEO of MPT, added, “Maryland Public Television is delighted to collaborate with the Lottery to ensure that all Marylanders — in every corner of the state – have access to the televised drawings.”

Why are there never any subscription winners in Maryland anymore. I love subscriptions, but never see any winners from them, so maybe I should stop subscribing.

This makes it so much easier to keep up with the most recent numbers that have been drawn.

Aaron: The actual drawings are not being changed. They are still being conducted in the same manner, however, MPT will now be rebroadcasting the results so players across the state can view them on TV.
