Memorial Day Bash Turns into $30,000 CelebrationTuesday, June 5th, 2012
Eduardo and Ingrid Sevilla celebrated Memorial Day
During a Memorial Day gathering at their home in Rockville, Eduardo Sevilla and his wife Ingrid announced to friends and family some very exciting news. They won a $30,000 top prize playing a Super Tic Tac Toe scratch-off ticket.
“Sometimes I’ll buy a few tickets for my wife,” said the 62-year-old retiree. “But this time when I did, she gave me a few to scratch, and as the say, the rest is history. When we realized we had won, we just wanted to share the good news with our loved ones.”

They said that once the news was out, no one seemed to believe them. “They actually thought we were playing a joke on them,” said Ingrid. The pair told Lottery officials that they plan to put most of their winnings into their savings and take a trip to Las Vegas. The winning ticket was purchased at Hungerford Beer and Wine on Hungerford Drive in Rockville.
