Director's Message

It’s hard to believe, but this will be my final Director’s Message to all of you. As you may already know, I have accepted a new position and finish my tenure as Maryland Lottery Director at the end of this month.
Making the decision to embark on this new path was one of the most difficult of my life. I have enjoyed tremendously my work with the Maryland Lottery. So, it is with a mixture of excitement and sadness that I make this move and I just want to say a final “thank you” for allowing me to be a part of this great agency for 13 years.
As I prepare to make this change, I just want to remind you that some things will remain the same. You can still count on the Maryland Lottery to provide exciting and innovative products and promotions. For instance, this month we launched our new Cinema Cash scratch-off. Not only can you win $30,000 instantly, but this ticket has a second-chance contest where you could win thrilling movie-themed prizes like an MGM Movie Premiere Experience, an MGM Home Theatre Package or movie tickets for an entire year.
Our Ravens Cash Fantasy scratch-off continues to score a touchdown and I encourage you to keep on entering your EXTRA YARDS for the fantastic football-themed prizes.
I also want to update you on our Livin’ Lucky scratch-off. We have recently incorporated new prizes into the Internet Promotion. Every two weeks, we will give away an entire book of Livin’ Lucky tickets. That’s $300 worth of scratch-offs. And, don’t forget that at the end of this promotion, one lucky player will win $100,000.
In other scratch-off news, our holiday tickets are on Lottery retailer shelves all over Maryland. They are the perfect gifts for everyone on your list and, best of all, make shopping a breeze. Plus, they don’t require wrapping.
