Claims $100,000 Scratch-Off Top Prize
After watching a show about Lottery winners on television, a Baltimore nurse began purchasing tickets and dreaming big. It took only a couple of weeks for her dream to become a reality. The 28-year-old scratched her way to a $100,000 top prize on a Money Money Money scratch-off.
The lucky winner scratched the ticket on Sunday evening after work. “I called my mother and had her check the Lottery website to see how many top prizes were left,” said the winner. “When she told me there were four left, I told her that there were probably only three now.”
She and her mother brought the ticket to Lottery Headquarters today, which was her first day off since the big win. “I didn’t allow myself to believe it was real until now.”
The Patterson Park resident has big plans for her winnings. The celebration will start tonight when she takes her boyfriend out for a nice dinner. Next, she plans to pay off her nursing school loans. After that, the winner wants to pay off her car and if there is anything left after that, she’ll use it towards a down payment on a house.
The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Farm #061, located at 3333 E. Fayette St. in Baltimore.
