Wins More Than $15,000 Playing Silver 7s

A scratch-off player visiting Lottery headquarters today got the surprise of her life – the second such surprise in two days.  Her $7,777 win, she found out, would be doubled, thanks to a special promotion underway through the end of July.

The Littlestown, Pennsylvania resident who is a newcomer to scratch-offs, having tried her first one just last week, won Silver 7’s top prize yesterday.  She’d decided to try her luck with a scratch-off when her boyfriend stopped at a local store for ice cream.  “The Silver 7s ticket caught my eye when I walked up to the Lottery vending machine,” she told officials.  Excited at what she thought was a $1,000 win, she was floored when her boyfriend, a Lottery veteran, told her she’d won much more.

Floored again by the news of her $15,554 prize, she told officials that new furniture for their home is the first thing she’ll be looking to buy.  Her Lottery luck found her at the Jiffy Mart at 1 Magna Way in Westminster.
