Powerball Drawing Creates New Maryland Millionaire

Bought second-tier winning ticket in Baltimore

Happy days are here for a Maryland Powerball player, who is the state’s newest millionaire! The player only missed the $645 million estimated jackpot annuity by one ball.

Check your tickets closely because even though no one hit the jackpot in the March 18 drawing, Maryland had 18,223 winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million. Congrats to all of our winners!

The lucky player bought the second-tier winning ticket at Royal Farms #003, which is located at 7204 York Road in North Baltimore. The winning numbers were 10, 17, 20, 39 and 44; the Powerball was 16 and the Power Play multiplier was x3. Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Players have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. For selling this ticket, the retailer earns a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery.

The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity of $687 million for the Wednesday, March 20 drawing with an estimated cash option of $327.3 million. This is the second Powerball jackpot to top $600 million in 2024. The jackpot was last hit for $842.4 million on New Year’s Day in Michigan.
