Powerball Jackpot Soars to $205 Million for SaturdayThursday, June 7th, 2012
There was no top-tier winner from last night’s Powerball drawing, making Saturday’s jackpot $205 million. The cash option for that drawing will be $139.6 million.
Maryland joined Powerball two years ago and has produced two jackpot winners. The first Powerball jackpot hit in Maryland was for $108.8 million and was sold in Harford County. That prize was claimed by an Abingdon couple in September 2011. The second Powerball jackpot win, on Christmas Eve 2011, was for $128.8 million and was sold in Cecil County. A Pennsylvania couple claimed that prize.
Powerball drawings can be seen on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 pm on WBAL-TV, channel 11 and at 11:53 on Maryland Public Television.
