Waldorf Nurse Receives Healthy Dose of Winning
Wins $50,000 playing Big Money Bingo scratch-off

                                         
(Baltimore) – A Waldorf area registered nurse turned a bit of pocket change into $50,000 this week. She purchased a top-prize winning Big Money Bingo scratch-off ticket after buying some groceries with her mother. “I had some change and my mother picked out the tickets,” said the winner.

She purchased three Big Money Bingo tickets at a Giant Food store and returned home before heading to work.  While the daughter was working, her mother scratched the tickets. “I got too excited,” said her mother. When she finished scratching, she had something else to get excited about. One of the tickets won the top-prize of $50,000.

She called her daughter’s cell phone and left a message about the win. The lucky winner was completing a 12-hour shift when she heard the message. “You won, you won! Come home right away,” said her mother’s message. She came home and checked the ticket with her mother several times. “I thought she was joking,” said the winner.

The lucky winner plans to share a portion of the money with family, but will use the majority of her prize for expenses related to her upcoming marriage in July. “Maybe we’ll take a honeymoon in Jamaica,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Giant Food located at 3297 Crain Highway in Waldorf.
