Quick Pick Numbers Bring in $50,000 Win
Fortunate Man Takes Home Bonus Match 5 Top Prize

(Baltimore) – A Montgomery County teacher can thank quick pick for his recent big win. He played his regular numbers, but it was a quick pick that led him to the $50,000 Bonus Match 5 prize.

The 55-year-old player said he went to two stores to play his regular numbers, but at the last minute he decided to get a quick pick. “I was finished making my purchases and then thought I should let the machine pick one of the tickets,” he said. That ticket turned out to be the big winner.

The lucky man was shocked when he began checking his tickets later that night. “I checked all my tickets, except for the quick pick,” he told Lottery officials. “I found that ticket later in my pocket.”  The player said he is very happy because he really needed this win.

The winner said he is not going to tell his wife or two children about the good news until the actual check comes in the mail. He plans to use the winnings for his son’s college tuition and for bills. The winning ticket was purchased at Brighton Beer and Wine located at 225 Muddy Branch Rd. in Gaithersburg.
