Nottingham Woman’s Horses Come In
Wins $30,879 Playing Racetrax

(Baltimore) – A 59-year-old Baltimore County woman was overjoyed when she learned she had won over $30,000 playing Racetrax. She told Lottery officials that she picked her winning horses by using family member’s birthdays.

“I had some time to kill so I figured I’d play a few games of Racetrax,” she said. “The first few games, I played the Trifecta straight using horses 10, 12, 11.”

The lucky winner said she thinks the clerk was more excited than she was. “I was really calm considering I just won over $30,000,” she said. “I think it just hasn’t sunk in yet.

The soon-to-be retired school educator said she will put most of her winnings into her savings, give some to her children, and donate to charity.

“I’m also going to use some of the money to celebrate my 33^rd wedding anniversary,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Soda Pop Shop on Westfield Road in Baltimore.
