Overjoyed Couple Wins $850,000 Multi-Match Top Prize
 

(Baltimore) – A 59-year-old metal company worker and his wife were still shaking when they came to Lottery headquarters today to claim a huge Multi-Match prize. The lucky couple hit $850,000 playing the jackpot game on Saturday. The husband found out the news on Saturday night, but did not tell his wife until this morning. He surprised her with the news.

The winner said he wanted to tell his wife prior to today, but waited. “I kept dropping hints, but she didn’t catch on,” he said. “So, this morning I told her to put on her glasses and go check the numbers.”  She checked the numbers and couldn't believe what she saw. They were the big winners.

The appreciative couple has two daughters and six grandchildren. They plan to tell them about the win today. “They are such good girls,” said the smiling wife, referring to their daughters. “We will try to help them as much as we can.”

The winners would like to use some of the prize money for a new home and a trip to Atlantic City. The winning ticket was purchased at EZ-Bee located at 712-14 Church Street in Anne Arundel County.
