Capitol Heights Woman Takes Home Second Big Keno Win
$30,000 Keno Bonus Win

(Baltimore) – Blanche McCusker is no stranger to Keno play…or Keno wins. Just last year, the Keno enthusiast won $90,000 playing her favorite Lottery game. While this new win wasn’t quite as big as last time, she was just as delighted. “Yes! I did it again,” Blanche said, unable to rein in her excitement.

Blanche, who currently works part-time as a bartender, said that she had been playing Keno Tuesday evening at a restaurant, but hadn’t won and decided to head home. On a whim, she stopped at Cedar Hill Inn in Suitland, where she played a few more games. The lucky winner played an eight-spot with the bonus and all eight numbers hit with a three-time bonus to win the $30,000. “I thought I’d won,” said the 60-year-old great-grandmother. “The next day I double checked. Only then was I sure I’d hit big like that again.”  She called to share her good news with a friend, who thought she was playing an April Fool’s prank.

Blanche said that she intends to put her winnings in the bank, which is what she did with her previous win. Blanche’s sister, who accompanied her to Lottery headquarters, added that Blanche had generously helped her after she was involved in a head-on collision leaving her seriously injured.   “It’s family,” Blanche said. “That’s what you do.”
