Itchy Palm Garners $50K Trump Card Scratch-Off Win
 

(Baltimore) – Kevin Hensley of Frederick never really believed in old wives’ tales. So when his wife’s palm started itching for most of April, he kept joking about winning money but never really thought it would happen.  That all changed today, when he purchased a $50,000 top-prize winning Trump Card scratch-off ticket.

“The first thing I did was call my wife, Jeanie, and ask if her palm was still itching,” he said. “Of course she thought I was joking and made me swear up and down that I was telling the truth. Even then, I still don’t think she believed me.”

The 37-year-old plumber told Lottery officials that he believes that it was meant for him to win. “I wasn’t even supposed to be on that side of town but my boss sent me for supplies and that was when I got my ticket.”

With their winnings, the Hensley’s can now buy their son, a cancer survivor, an Xbox.  They also plan to pay their property tax and maybe take a trip to Myrtle Beach.

The winning ticket was purchased at Food Stop Mini on Boiling Brook Parkway in Rockville.
