Severn Couple Holds $100,000 Blackjack Hand
Wins Big Bucks Party Pack Top Prize
 

(Baltimore) – Tracey Steele is a big scratch-off fan and now she and her husband, Charles, are big scratch-off winners. The Blackjack scratch-off in their Big Bucks Party Pack revealed the ticket’s $100,000 top prize.

The couple calmly related their story to Lottery officials, but admitted to a few sleepless nights. They were on their way to get gas on Wednesday, when Tracey asked Charles if he had a couple bucks so that she could indulge in one of her favorite pastimes. “I love to play scratch-offs,” Tracey said. Rolling his eyes, Charles nevertheless stopped at Northway Liquors where they purchased two Lottery Big Bucks Party Packs. Upon returning to the car, Charles drove and Tracey scratched. The big winner was in the first pack of tickets.

Initially, the 32-year-old stay-at-home mom was skeptical about the win. In fact, both of them were in such denial, that they stopped to have the ticket verified. The clerk scanned it and told them that they would have to go to the main Lottery Headquarters. Charles said he immediately signed the ticket. The parents of a boy and a girl, Tracey and Charles are excited about the prospect of buying a home with their winnings. They said it will be good to move from the 30-year-old-trailer where they currently reside.

“We called everyone we could think of,” said Charles, a Programming Engineer in Beltsville. “I’m definitely going to continue to play,”

The Big Bucks Party Pack was purchased at Northway Liquors located at 8101 Veterans Hwy. in Millersville.
