Wins Seven-Day Luxury Vacation Playing Cruise for Cash Scratch-Off

Having enjoyed a cruise last year and with another planned for the fall, you’d think the last thing that the Lottery’s recent winner would be excited about would be another cruise – and you’d be wrong.  A very happy Randallstown woman visited Lottery Headquarters yesterday with a winning Cruise for Cash ticket that will soon put her in what has become one of her favorite places.

The veteran cruiser, who is the manager of a nursing home, stopped by #1 Convenience Store at 10201 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills to play her favorite daily numbers and decided to add a rare scratch-off.  “I almost never play scratch-offs, so I asked the cashier for a ticket – his choice.  He just happened to pick the Cruise ticket for me.”

Partnering with Royal Caribbean International, the Maryland Lottery launched Cruise for Cash on January 10, 2011. The $5 scratch-off features seven $50,000 instant top prizes, as well as 31 instant seven-night cruise vacations for two, departing from Florida with a premium ocean view balcony stateroom; first class round-trip airfare- for-two to Florida; deluxe premium hotel accommodations for two for the night prior to cruise departure, $1,000 onboard credit and $500 spending money.
