Reisterstown Mom’s Spur-of-the-Moment Decisions Pay-Off BigWednesday, January 23rd, 2013
Wins $100,000 Playing Double Cash Scratch-off
A stay-at-home Reisterstown mom made two quick decisions last week that dramatically changed her life. The occasional player purchased scratch-off tickets two days in a row, which was rare for her. Even more rare is that on the second visit to the store, she bought not one, but two, Double Cash tickets. One of those scratch-offs revealed a $100,000 top prize.
The lucky woman waited until she returned home to check her impulse buy tickets. “I scratched the game later that day and when I saw what was on it I began crying immediately,” she said. “I asked my brother to look at it just to make sure I was reading it correctly.” He checked it and confirmed that it was a winner. “When he saw how happy I was, he started crying, too,” she mentioned.
Looking back, the woman realized that she doesn’t remember if it was the first or the second ticket which netted her the top prize. Either way, the spur-of-the-moment decision certainly paid off.
The fortunate woman plans to use some of her winnings for a family vacation with her extended family. “There are lots of us,” she said laughing. Her Double Cash Lottery luck found her at the One Stop Convenience, located at 11700 Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown.
