Wins $50,000 playing Golden Ticket Scratch-Off

The 68-year-old retired truck driver arrived at Lottery Headquarters still skeptical about his win. Even as the paperwork confirming his Lottery luck was completed, he expressed his bewilderment.

“When I scratched the ticket there in the store I was pretty sure I’d won,” the winner told officials. “But when I showed it to my friend and he told me it was for $50,000, I didn’t believe him.” The store’s clerk assured him that his Golden Ticket was a big winner, but even that didn’t convince him. “I told them both that if they were pulling my leg that there would be trouble.”

Today’s winner plans to pay some bills with his winnings as well as plan a trip to Atlantic City – maybe even Las Vegas – with his wife. He found his Golden Ticket at the 7-11 at 7440 Holabird Avenue in Dundalk.
