Second-tier Powerball, Mega Millions Tickets Sold in Maryland

Both Jackpots Roll!

Check your tickets, Marylanders. Our lucky state is home to a $1 million second-tier Powerball winner and a $250,000 second-tier Mega Millions winner! Both jackpots rolled this weekend, sending Mega Millions up to $130 million for Tuesday night’s drawing and Powerball to $400 million for the Wednesday night drawing. The cash option for Mega Millions is $88.2 million and for Powerball is $223.6 million.

The second-tier Mega Millions ticket was sold at Giant Food at 6 Wisconsin Circle in Chevy Chase. The winning numbers were 9, 22, 28, 48, 54, 08 with a multiplier of 4.

The winning second-tier Powerball ticket was sold at the Fort Washington Mobil at 11800 Livingston Road in Fort Washington. The ticket matched all five white balls, missing only the Powerball number. The winning numbers from Saturday night’s drawing were 1, 17, 25, 37, 44 and Powerball 20.

The ticket holder isn’t the only one who wins; the retailers that sold the winning Mega Millions and Powerball tickets will receive $2,500 commissions. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their ticket and must do so at in person at the Baltimore Claims Center, at Lottery Headquarters located at 1800 Washington Boulevard.
