Wins $100,000 Playing the Golden Ticket Scratch-off
The USDA employee was finishing her shopping last Friday when she decided to purchase some Lottery scratch-offs. “I was on my way out the door when I grabbed some tickets out of the machine,’ she said. The winner said she sat down on the bench and scratched her tickets revealing the big win. She immediately took the ticket to the cashier who confirmed it. “I was still in shock,” she said
The player then took the ticket home and showed her husband, who after seeing the win was real, said, “You can buy me a new car now.” The winner intends to do just that since they need a new vehicle. The rest of her winnings, she will put in the bank.
This was the second $100,000 Golden Ticket top prize to be claimed at the Maryland Lottery in just two days. The winning ticket was purchased at Super Fresh located at 12028 Cherry Hill Rd. in Silver Spring.
