Wins $30,000 Lucky Lines Scratch-off Top Prize

A quick grocery trip for a Montgomery County woman last Friday resulted in her becoming $30,000 richer. Jodi Quinn, a Gaithersburg resident and mother-of-two, didn’t realize her luck until she checked her scratch-offs later that evening.

“I was in total shock after I checked my ticket,” she said grinning. “I had to ask my in-laws and sons to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. This was the first time I’ve ever won anything this significant.” Quinn ran out of the house to tell her husband Chris. “I was doing lawn work when I heard her screaming that we had won,” he told Lottery officials. “I thought she was joking until I looked at the ticket. I still can’t believe it,” he said, smiling at his wife.

The excited couple plans to pay off some medical bills and take a family trip to Las Vegas.  The winning ticket was purchased at the Safeway Supermarket at 12251 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. Quinn’s lucky win was the first top-tier $30,000 prize claimed on the Lucky Lines scratch-off; there are three top-tier prizes remaining.
