I played a $20.00 keno card 3 times today at three different locations, two were losers but one paid $20.00..During none of these transactions ( buying or cashing ) was I offered any free 5 card cash tickets. Did I get ripped off?

    • mdlottery

  • David G-fbbr

     I recieved a MARYLAND LOTTERY $2, $5, $10  FREE PLAY COUPON when I purchased MegaMillions ticket #97130073217280 at terminal 24205101 on 8/4/12.

The clerk was uninformed that I had the option of getting these free-plays immediately.  Would you please inform him and/or the dealer owner as to how this works.  If they continue to violate your rules, then suspend them.

    customer.

MVarner123: No, this is the full list of winners.

Dee: Research tells us that more winners come from areas of the State that have high population because in those areas more people are playing. For instance, if you have 1,000 players in City A and only 100 players in City B; City A is likely to produce more winners at nearly a 10:1 rate. With that said, the geographic locations of our winners are random. There is no way to predict where the winners will be. Please take a look at our winners stories. There you’ll see that we have winners from all over the State.

In regards to entries, we require each set to be mailed separately because of the pure volume that is submitted. With over 63,000 entries received, we simply do not have the man power to separate those that aren’t submitted individually.

The reason drawings like these are not broadcast is two fold. First, the drawing is often a 2-3 hour ordeal and is not as glamorous as a televised drawing. And second, airtime costs are extremely high and we simply can’t afford it.
