Jackpot rolls to $257 million for Wednesday drawing

Maryland has a new Powerball millionaire! We’re looking for the lucky player who bought a winning second-tier Powerball ticket worth $1 million at GT’s Handimart in Cascade for the Saturday, June 7 drawing.

The Washington County store is located at 25313 Military Road. No one won the jackpot, which rolled to $257 million with a cash option of $151.9 million for the Wednesday, June 11 drawing. Three second-tier winning tickets were sold in Arizona, Maryland and Minnesota. The lucky ticket sold here matched all five white balls, missing only the Power Ball number. Check your ticket to see if it carries the winning numbers of 28, 30, 35, 58, 59 and Power Ball 15. This latest $1 million win is the fifth second-tier Powerball win in Maryland this year.

For selling the second-tier winning ticket, the retailer receives a $2,500 bonus. The winner has 182 days to claim the prize in person at Lottery headquarters, located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.
