Alexandra Jiffas of Frederick is a once-a-week Lottery player, always on Sunday and always scratch-offs. She visited Lottery headquarters today with a Crown Jewel 7 instant ticket that she was 99.9% sure was a winner. She held back that last little bit of doubt until she had the win confirmed.
Alexandra, who moved to Frederick from New York City three years ago, was alone when she scratched her big winner. Her first thought when she realized what had just happened? “I did it. I finally won a big one.” Despite this, there still existed in her mind a shred uncertainty. “I haven’t told anyone. It was tough to keep quiet but I wanted to be absolutely sure before sharing the news.”
Alexandra will use her winnings to go back to school and to assist family.
