Glen Burnie store sells retiree top-prize winning Wild 10s scratch-off
Waiting for your car to be repaired can be a lengthy process. That’s just what one Washington, DC resident was thinking while she waited for her mechanic. The 75-year-old decided the perfect thing to break the monotony was a Wild 10s scratch-off. When the scratch ticket won $100,000, she decided car repairs could wait, for it was now time to claim a jackpot.
The retired Federal worker asked her daughter to pick out a scratch-off for her while they waited for their usual mechanic. A regular scratcher, her daughter picked out a new ticket which caught her eye. When they scratched the ticket they could not believe when a “Wild” symbol appeared, meaning she won 10 times the printed $10,000 prize, a total of $100,000. “I could hardly believe it. I felt so good,” said the woman.

The retiree’s personal plans are to bank the windfall. “I just want to know that I have it – I still have to get my brakes done,” she said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pete’s Liquor Fair on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.
