The 38-year-old construction worker collected his $10,000 prize on Jan. 3, the first day Lottery headquarters opened in the New Year. No stranger to winning, the lucky player reports that he has taken home prizes larger than $10,000 in the past. The Montgomery County man isn’t sure yet what he’ll do with the prize but you may find him at his lucky Lottery retailer, Langley Beer & Wine in Hyattsville. The Prince George’s County store is located at 1401 University Boulevard.

A 64-year-old Pennsylvania woman who works as a material handler for a large warehouse won her $10,000 prize playing the scratch-off on New Year’s Eve. She bought the $10 instant ticket because it’s one of her favorite scratch-offs and she always seems to win. The lucky Airville resident plans to use her winnings to pay her mortgage and other bills.

Her lucky ticket came from the Royal Farms located at 3611 Roland Avenue in Belair.

The popular $10 game still has 71 top prizes remaining, along with thousands of smaller prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
