$2.75 Million Jackpot-Winning Multi-Match Ticket Sold in Owings Mills

In-state jackpot game has its first top-tier win of 2021

Congratulations to the lucky Multi-Match player who won the $2.75 million jackpot in the Thursday, Feb. 4 drawing.

The winner, who is the first player to hit a Multi-Match jackpot in 2021, can choose between the $2.75 million annuity and an estimated $2.4 million cash option (before taxes). The winning ticket with the numbers 1, 3, 14, 20, 25 and 39 was sold at 7-Eleven #32287 in Owings Mills.

This is the largest Multi-Match prize since 2018, when the in-state jackpot game twice reached the $2 million mark. An Oct. 4, 2018 drawing led to a $2.35 million jackpot claimed on a ticket sold at Carroll Liquors in Mt. Airy. A Jan. 18, 2018 drawing led to a $2.05 million jackpot win on a ticket sold at Coventry Way Exxon in Clinton.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe location. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.

The big winner can claim the prize by mail or in person by appointment at the Lottery headquarters’ Customer Resource Center located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. Winners of smaller prizes can claim them by mail, at Lottery retailers, at casinos or by appointment at Lottery headquarters. Get details on how to claim by mail here, how to schedule an appointment here and how to cash prizes at Lottery retailers and casinos here.

The lucky Baltimore County retailer located at 3731 Crondall Lane will receive a $2,750 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The top three Multi-Match jackpot wins were $4.8 million on Sept. 19, 2009; $4.45 million on March 18, 2010 and $3.8 million on Dec. 16, 2010.

Multi-Match is a $2 game, sold only in Maryland. The Lottery draws six numbers from one to 43 every Monday and Thursday night. Players match between three and five numbers on any one line to win up to $1,000. Match between five and 18 numbers total on all three lines combined to win up to $2,000 more. To win the jackpot, players match all six numbers on any one line. The overall chances of winning are 1 in 8.5.
