Player added Power Play option to ticket
Happy days are here for a Maryland Powerball player who added the Power Play option to his or her ticket for the Saturday, Feb. 20 drawing. You won $250,000!
The lucky player bought a ticket at the 7-Eleven #32909 located at 6930 Aviation Boulevard in Glen Burnie. The player’s initial $50,000 prize ballooned to $250,000 because the drawing’s Power Play multiplier was 5. The winning numbers to match are 11, 12, 15, 16 and 54; the Power Ball was 25.
Our winner was the only Maryland player and one of 34 players nationwide to match four of the winning numbers and the Power Ball. Check your tickets closely because even though no one hit the jackpot, we had 19,118 winners statewide in Saturday’s drawing. Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location until they can claim their prize.
Winners have 182 days to claim the prize; the $250,000 winning ticket must be claimed at Lottery headquarters located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. No one hit the Powerball jackpot, which rolled to $236 million for the Wednesday, Feb. 24 drawing with a cash option of $156.3 million.
