Wins Top Prize on Cash Blowout Scratch-off
One Glen Burnie woman was very happy to celebrate her birthday a little late this year. When calling to wish her a happy birthday back in December, her sister explained that her gift would be late. Fast forward to January when she received a belated birthday card and two Cash Blowout scratch-offs. One of those tickets made her $50,000 richer.
The winner’s boyfriend scratched the first ticket with no luck. The 35-year-old birthday girl then scratched the second ticket to discover she’d won $50,000. “I couldn’t believe it. We both looked at the ticket in shock,” she said.
The lucky winner held on to the ticket until her boyfriend was able to accompany her to Lottery headquarters. With her windfall, she and her boyfriend would like to put a down payment on a home and save the rest. The winning ticket was purchased at Sunflower Shell, located at 8078 Ritchie Hwy. in Pasadena.
