Lucky winner takes home ‘Bingo Times 10’ top prize
Although he was excited after claiming a $50,000 prize on the Bingo Times 10 scratch-off game, the 62-year-old winner was not surprised. Over the years, the Towson University employee has had more than one dream about winning big on a Bingo scratch-off ticket. In fact, his dreams matched his win to a T – or more precisely, to an X.
“In my dream, I won with an X, which is what happened on this ticket,” he told Lottery officials. “I even had a five times multiplier in my dream, just like this ticket.”
The avid Lottery player purchases one $5 Bingo-themed scratch-off every day at North Point Liquor & Bar in Dundalk. This past Saturday’s purchase didn’t produce the typical outcome.
“I usually win a few dollars, but never anything like this,” he said.
When asked if he was going to continue buying his daily ticket, the Baltimore County resident said with a grin, “Yes, but I’ll move up to the $10 Bingo scratch-offs now.”
This win could not have come at a better time. With 42 years of state service, the dedicated worker plans on retiring soon. In addition to saving most of his windfall, he said he plans to do some renovations around the house and give a little to his son.
For selling the winning ticket, North Point Liquor & Bar, located at 1108 North Point Rd., will receive a $500 bonus. In addition, the winner plans on leaving a nice tip for the bartenders. The Bingo Times 10 game has two $50,000 top prizes remaining, along with six $10,000 prizes.
