“Eddie 222” of Pikesville has a winning story to share with her dad, thanks to a 50X The Cash scratch-off.

Baltimore County woman finds second-tier win playing $10 game

A Pikesville woman known as “Eddie 222” struck a big money win of $50,000 with the 50x The Cash scratch-off. An instant prize of $1,000 along with a 50X multiplier in her game gave her a Maryland Lottery win to remember!

“Eddie 222” regularly plays scratch-offs and draw games. The 55-year-old tries her luck with both Powerball and Mega Millions, but prefers scratch-offs of all types and price points. She found this lucky scratch-off at Sam’s Lobby Shop located at 10 North Calvert Street in Baltimore City.

The Baltimore County resident attributes her Lottery windfall to her father, who is still a big influence in her life. “Dad’s gonna be shocked,” she said. “Eddie 222” has won smaller amounts in the past, from $500 to $1,000, but nothing close to her $50,000 prize.

Winning $50,000 was “insane,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it.” Another feeling that came over her was relief. The winner is grateful to win the prize, which she said gives her a “fresh start for the year.” She plans to share her windfall with a few special people in her life and put a good portion of the sum toward helping her father recover from surgery.

The 50X The Cash instant ticket is a member of the Lottery’s Multiplier family of scratch-off games.  The $1 5X The Cash, $2 10X The Cash, $5 20X The Cash and $10 50X The Cash games offer top prizes of $1,000, $10,000, $50,000 and $100,000.
